Happy Holidays, Larkies!

It would be an understatement to say 2020 has been a difficult year. Between the pandemic isolation, the scary fires, and a rough presidential election, it has been a challenge. Having to cancel camp was profoundly disappointing, and even though – with vaccines in sight – we’re feeling hopeful about Lark Camp 2021, we’re also braced for the possibility of canceling again to ensure the health and safety of our campers and instructors.

There are silver linings: To boost our Larkish spirits, Danese Cooper, Kevin Hughes, Larry Walsh, Will Wheeler, Simon Lace, and Summer McCall (and many other countless volunteers, thank you!) have produced ongoing Virtual Cabarets and a Virtual Lark Week. And the whole board has been busy creating processes that will ensure the smooth running of camp in years to come.

Please consider supporting Lark Camp by donating. Lark Camp – for the most part – is funded by your registration fees, but of course we have expenses that fall outside the rental of the Woodlands, shuttle bus, instructors, and catering. With your generous donations, Lark Traditional Arts hopes to continue building a Lark Camp scholarship fund. Our nonprofit status now makes it possible for you to receive a tax benefit for your generosity! You can donate:

  • ONLINE – Donate via PayPal.
  • BY MAIL – Send your check payable to Lark Traditional Arts to PO Box 1724, Mendocino, CA 95460.
  • LEGACY GIFT – To discuss supporting Lark Traditional Arts and Lark Camp through a legacy gift, please contact will@larkcamp.org.
