Tim Rued

Tim Rued has been playing traditional fiddle music over 50 years, and learned most of his Swedish fiddling in Sweden, playing with ordinary and master fiddlers during a dozen musical trips there from 1974 to the present.  He was the first American to receive the Anders Zorn medal for genuine traditional styling, and has appeared on Swedish radio and television.

Tim is well acquainted with many of Sweden’s most respected fiddlers, and has video recorded interviews (with music) with dozens, some of whom are no longer with us. He also conducts “folk tours” to Sweden, giving small groups an intimate look at Swedish folk traditions, particularly the music.
