Jim Wells

Jim’s musical journey began simply enough by singing in church, then learning violin, guitar, mandolin, and banjo. But then came the hammer dulcimer and it was love at first strike. He has performed and taught the instrument for the last 30 years, including several at Lark Camp. Jim’s style of playing and teaching hammer dulcimer have been greatly influenced by the other instruments he plays. He invented the JimBow, a bow used instead of a hammer, and loves playing back-up chords on the hammer dulcimer as much as melody.
Jim loves reading science fiction of all kinds, and he builds lunchbox electric guitars.
