Gregg has been an avid student and developer of alternatives to the western band tradition for over 40 years and has conducted workshops in these alternatives across Europe and the western US. He has been called a ‘Bandevangelist’ for his work in encouraging alternative community bands tasked with animating the streets of their communities. He has lived in Europe (Holland & Portugal) for 30 years, and is responsible for the growth of a vibrant street band culture in Portugal
