Duduk Instrumental

The sound of the Armenian Duduk speaks to the souls of many among us. In this class we will approach learning the Duduk by taking a deep-dive perspective. We will focus on various techniques involving posture, breath work, and embouchure, and speak to both duduk and reed management, and cover many nuanced topics. We will work on several songs throughout the lessons, with the main aim of gaining a clear rich tone on the instrument. I will have a limited number of spare Duduks to lend to students during class time, so if you have duduks and reeds please bring them to class; otherwise please reach out to me beforehand so that I can hold one duduk for you. Please note that the class will build each day on skills learned during the previous session. All beginner Duduk students are welcome!
