Western Swing Tunes
Western Swing is a genre of music that developed in the dance halls of the southwestern United States during the 1920s and 1930s. It is characterized by a unique blend of musical styles, including country, jazz, blues, swing, and mariachi creating a lively and danceable sound. In this workshop we will be learning some classic western swing tunes and will discuss arrangements and work with improvising solos in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We will provide lyrics, chord charts and some sheet music. As Bob Wills would proclaim….”Ahaaaa!”
