Blake Ritter is an accomplished Irish traditional musician and teacher based in Humboldt County. He started playing traditional and classical music in early childhood, with performances that took him across the country and abroad to England and Ireland during his teens and early 20’s. As an All-Ireland fiddle champion in traditional slow airs, it comes as no surprise that Blake is able to pull an incredible, sometimes other-worldly tone, out of his fiddle.
Blake teaches fiddle and concertina to students of all ages (mostly kids!) and performs as Harmonic Convergence (as a duo with Tai Evans or as a trio with Alina Larson), and Covered with Moss—a trio with Chris Hinderyckx and Sam McNeill. He has also performed with Summer McCall.
