Pete Grant

Pete Grant has been demystifying music for students and launching them into playing mode since the mid-60s. His early teachers were Jerry Garcia, Herb Pedersen, and Rick Shubb. In the 70s, he studied steel guitar with Bobby Black, Paul Franklin, and Doug Jernigan. He’s been teaching at Lark since 2007.

Pete has Gold, Platinum, and Double Platinum albums to his credit from the Grateful Dead and Tony, Toni, Tone; he was a member of the New Riders of the Purple Sage. He toured Ireland with Paddy Keenan and Tommy O’Sullivan, and has toured and recorded with The Dillards, Hoyt Axton, and Guy Clark. He was twice nominated Best Steel Guitarist by the Academy of Country Music.
