Larry has been playing and teaching banjo for a long, long time and has taken many trips to the American South to play with some of the older musicians there. He enjoys teaching and offers concise and supportive lessons. His varied performance experiences including playing blues with Etta Baker and John Jackson, playing for Scottish country dancing at the Chennai Cricket Club, and playing the jaw harp with an orchestra.
Larry’s very popular original tunes have been on included in several Ken Burns TV shows, performed on the Grand Ole Opry, by the San Luis Obispo Symphony Orchestra, and by the US Navy in Taiwan.
