Janet Lenore taught guitar, performed as part of a duo, and wrote her own songs – all before she finished high school. She was also playing mandolin and some banjo when she “discovered” the ukulele, and it has become her main instrument. Janet has taught at music camps that include Puget Sound Guitar Workshop, California Coast Music Camp, and Lark Camp. She has taught ukulele workshops at the Wine Country Ukulele Festival, three Mendocino County ukulele festivals, “Ukes on the Loose,” and at several “Burning Uke” and “Smoldering Uke” festivals in Santa Cruz and Carmel Valley. In the Bay Area, Janet has led ukulele jams for groups ranging from 10 to 100. Janet has enjoyed studying with and sharing the stage with many renowned ukulele teachers including James Hill, Daniel Ward, and Paul Hemmings.
