Regional Dances from Sweden & Norway

Be hypnotized by haunting and mesmerizing folk tunes from Norway and Sweden as you learn to turn in a symbiotic relationship with your partner around the dance floor.  Dancers will be introduced to a sampling of very diverse turning dances from Scandinavia. “Mixers” (dances that involve changing partners) will be an integral part of each day to facilitate the joy factor as we work to improve our dance competency over the week. Older children are welcome to participate. Some prior dance experience is preferred but not essential. Bring good “pivoting” shoes (leather soles, etc.), or we’ll offer “dance socks” to go over your shoes to assist.
