Beginning Rhythmic Grooves & Accompaniment – Fiddle & Cello

This workshop will focus on a better understanding of Celtic rhythmic styles, and how to accompany tunes you may already know – or have never heard before. We learn theoretical and rhythmic accompaniment techniques for reels, jigs, strathspeys, marches and slow airs. We’ll dig deep into chordal structures for our instruments, the use of shuffle bows, and the almighty percussive chop!
